Philosophy

Our philosophy

We publish the questions we'd make any vendor answer, and we hold our own tools to them first.

01

What we believe

BELIEF 01The real wins are in the back office

For small business, AI's payoff isn't a chatbot on the homepage. It's process improvement and automation in the unglamorous work: intake, records, reporting, follow-up, where hours hide and margins live. Don't take our word for it. MIT counted.

BELIEF 02An AI-literate workforce punches above its weight

A small team that knows how to use these tools can carry the workload of a much larger one. That's how you expand capacity and take on more without spiking headcount or cost.

BELIEF 03Self-reliance beats dependence

You should be able to build and run the tools that drive your business without renting a consultant forever. We measure success by how little you need us afterward.

BELIEF 04Small business should buy from small business

AI finally lets a small team build custom software at a price a small business can afford. You no longer have to rent one-size-fits-nobody seats from an impersonal platform. The craftsman model is back, and we intend to prove it.

02

The tool is not the point.

We work in AI every day, so we can say this plainly: AI is not the goal. It is a tool. The assets are the outputs: the working code, the clean analysis, the report that used to eat your Thursday. Nobody fetishizes the hammer. They love the house it built.

The public conversation swings between two errors. One camp says AI is coming for every job. The other treats it like a deity. Both are wrong, and both are expensive. We use these systems daily, and we still would not hand one a credit card and let it loose on the internet. Trust is something a tool earns, task by task, with a human checking the work.

Here is what is actually new: for the first time in a generation, a productivity increase does not have to be paid for in burnout or headcount. The team you already hired, the people who know your customers and your quirks, can produce dramatically more without working dramatically harder. Trained well, the same ten people do the work of twenty. Morale goes up. Payroll does not.

That is the whole pitch. Not magic for magic's sake. Your people, properly armed.

03

The six principles

01US-only AI processing

Data is processed by named, US-based AI providers under written terms, or fully on your premises. No mystery supply chain.

02Licensed data only

Data enrichment comes from licensed commercial sources under their terms of service. We don't scrape, and we can prove it.

03Sensitive data behind authentication

Every record lives behind login-gated, role-appropriate access with encryption in transit. Sensitive data never rides in an email attachment.

04No training on your data

Your data is never used to train or improve AI models, ours or anyone else's. It's in the contract, not just the marketing.

05No vendor lock-in

Data providers and AI models are swappable components. Your tools are never hostage to a single vendor's pricing or roadmap, including ours.

06Honest outputs

Anything we generate for the real world carries hard rules: no invented facts, figures, or credentials, and a human review step on every output.

Put something on the anvil

Bring us the problem, the workflow, or the team. We'll tell you honestly whether to build it, buy it, or learn it, and then we'll help you do exactly that.
